The Peugeot 107 refuses to be classified as merely the starter vehicle for entry into the Peugeot range: young and with a twinkle in it eyes, it is a breath of fresh air and proud of it. DESIGN
The Peugeot 107 retains the stylistic codes of recent Peugeot cars. Its “smile” and wide “eyes” underline its sparkling, mischievous personality. A combination of simplicity and fantasy, this car is just as hardy when it comes to its road handling abilities and the safety of its passengers.
Front end panel
A smile which emerges from the front end panel, highlighted by the addition of headlights in a rounded form and the curvaceous appearance of the small bonnet with the brand badge make the Peugeot 107 a friendly car with a zest for life.
Exterior style
The Peugeot 107 has the feline nature of its predecessors with large, raised, almond shaped headlights, bonnet ribs in the extended A-pillars which reinforce its solid, reliable character, an air inlet with a cellular radiator grille and a large, sloping windscreen.
Door panels
The top of the door panels continues the exterior colour scheme into the passenger compartment.
COMFORT
The 107 is a small, economical and sporty urbanite which ranks amongst the shortest of the four seater hatches on the market. Even so, the passenger compartment has a maximum of space for passenger comfort throughout the journey, due largely to a protruding windscreen, significantly wider corners, slim seats and clever storage spaces.
Capacity
The passenger compartment has a maximum of space for passenger comfort throughout the journey: two tall people can easily sit in the front. The two front seats can be adjusted over a length of 240 mm and can be reclined using a graduated adjustment handle. The driver's position can be adapted to all shapes and sizes, with a steering column with adjustable height, on which the simple and easy to read handset is positioned.

A 2-Tronic controlled version is available with the petrol engine. The “clutch” and “gear selection” functions are automated by actuators controlled by an electronic computer. The clutch pedal, therefore, has been removed and there is a choice of two gear selection modes. These two operating modes enable the driver to choose between an entirely automatic transmission or a more active drive in which he changes the gears himself.
Power-assisted steering
A small car with minimal overhang, it has the advantage of a reduced turning circle of 9.46 m (between kerbs) and electric power-assisted steering which makes it particularly easy to handle.
Radio
Urban and connected, a radio can be built into the technical front panel of the dashboard as an option. There is also an auxiliary socket on the front panel for an MP3 player.
PERFORMANCE
The dynamic synthesis of the Peugeot 107 exceeds sector standards. The result is the perfect car for threading through small roads, traffic jams or even just driving at low speeds. With a choice of two engines, a good level of soundproofing and vibration control as well as excellent acceleration, the Peugeot 107 is nimble in town traffic with low fuel consumption.

The 1.4 l HDi diesel engine has been adapted for both town and suburban driving. This Peugeot 107 engine with a power of 40 kW (~ 54 bhp) with the same manual gearbox as the petrol version, is particularly economical with a mixed fuel consumption of 4.1l /100 km. The engine and transmission assembly effectively controls the sound levels and vibrations and accelerates well, making the vehicle nifty in town traffic.
SAFETY
The Peugeot 107 is a modern car which does not compromise on either active or passive safety. It is a testament to the qualities of passenger safety and protection. Thoroughly at home in town, it can easily pick up the tempo and has proven to be very reassuring on the road due mainly to its effective steering and suspension axles and various braking assistance functions.
Airbags
The Peugeot 107 can be fitted with 2 front airbags (60 l for the driver and 90 l for the passenger), two 9 l front side airbags and two 24 l front and rear curtain airbags located in the headlining.
ABS, ESP
All versions of the Peugeot 107 are fitted with ABS with Electronic Braking Distribution, CSC (Cornering Stability Control), which improves stability when braking to turn, and ESP as standard.
Isofix seats
As standard, the Peugeot 107 has an Isofix mounting system and a third anchoring point, to ensure that child/baby seats can be fitted with ease and accuracy.
