Inspired by its predecessor, the new Expert van adopts the "people carrier" position, with a resolutely modern style that suggests robustness and dynamism and gives prestige to its driver with its superior appearance.
DESIGN
The generous front adopts the new style codes of the brand. It has a special grille that accommodates an enormous lion. Everything about it gives an impression of dependability, dynamism and innovation.
Windscreen
The huge windscreen gives a feeling of space and light.
Front end panel
The front of the vehicle has a robust bumper and clear-lens headlight clusters that give it a slender look. Various personalisation kits are available to mark the vehicle in the colours of your business.
Profile
A wedge-shaped, taut profile. It underlines the energy and quality of the new Expert. The side panels are protected by wide side-rubbing strips.
Exterior style
The styling adopted reconciles the requirements for the various areas of the vehicle: a front section suggesting vigour, power and solidity; a rear section suggesting spaciousness and practicalness.
Rear end
The rear end suggests a large cargo capacity and ease of loading. The tail lights assert the product's modernity while complying with a certain unity with the Brand's LCV range. The rear end incorporates the third brake light.
Dimensions
The EXPERT is available in 2 lengths and 2 heights, defining 3 versions and 3 useful volumes of 5, 6 and 7 cu. m. The long, high version represents a novelty in the product offering to meet customer expectations regarding volume and cargo space (1000 or 1200 kg payload).
COMFORT
Comfort and functionality are the essential features of the new Expert van's interior style. The vehicle has been designed for demanding professionals who want an interior that is robust but comfortable.
Entry
The vehicle has very easy access, with the driver's position in the style of an MPV. You don't get into the vehicle, you settle in!
Front seats
The driver's seat has multiple adjustments and an optional armrest. The driving position is identical to that of a saloon. There is a choice of individual passenger seat or a two-seater bench with writing shelf.
Dashboard
The ergonomic dashboard of the Expert can incorporate various audio configurations: RD4 radio/CD player with controls under steering wheel, bluetooth system, carphone and navigation system. For travel and use in complete security, the vehicle is provided with centralised locking, separate front and rear. The cargo compartment can accordingly be locked and unlocked from the driving position, separately from the cab.
Storage
To make life a little easier, the Expert has plenty of storage compartments for the driver and passengers: on the dashboard, with in particular an illuminated lockable glovebox, in the door panels, under the seats and overhead. In partitioned cab configuration, the overhead storage includes a central storage tunnel accessible from the cargo compartment.
Equipment
A large number of comfort equipment and driving aid items, worthy of a saloon, are available on the Expert: manual air conditioning, cruise control and speed limiter, audible rear parking proximity sensor, automatic light and windscreen wiper activation, foglamps, etc.
PERFORMANCE
The Expert has a wide range of engines to ensure the utmost driving pleasure. The suspension is a testament to the expertise of the Peugeot brand in this field, and combines vibrancy, safety and comfort.
Roadholding
The Expert's excellent roadholding is outstanding thanks to its semi deformable rear axle.
Engines
The Expert has a choice of 4 engines to provide exemplary driving pleasure: 3 diesel (1.6 l HDi 90 hp, 2.0 l HDi 120 hp, 6 speed manual gearbox and 2.0 l HDi 140 hp particle filter, 6 speed manual gearbox) and 1 petrol (2.0 l 140 hp).
Driving position
Due to its compact form and driving position, the Expert ranks amongst the top of the market sector for handling.
Air suspension system
This system provides a constant attitude irrespective of the load, an overall height limited to 1.90 m (in low version), with in addition, for the air suspension system adjustable when the vehicle is stopped, the possibility of adjusting the loading sill height.
SAFETY
The Expert has the best technology and equipment in terms of active and passive safety. In addition, the Expert has structural reinforcements to cater for significant loads. The impact of urban collisions and the potential transport weight of the vehicle have been studied in detail.
ABS, ESP, EBA etc
The new Expert is fitted with the latest technology: Anti-lock braking (ABS) and emergency braking assist (EBA) are fitted as standard. An electronic stability program (ESP) is optional, including Anti-slip regulation (ASR) and a system (ROM) which limits the risks of the vehicle overturning in the event of extreme transverse acceleration.
Airbags and seat belts
The Expert is provided with a driver front airbag as standard. Its equipment can be supplemented by a front airbag (designed to cover the 1- or 2-passenger seat configurations), and side airbags in the individual seat backs. In the side positions, the 3-point front seat belts, height-adjustable, are provided with pyrotechnic pretensioners and load limiters.
Security
A volumetric and perimeter alarm to detect intrusions is available as an option to protect the cargo, as well as automatic deadlocking of doors while driving.
Structure
The Expert has been designed to protect passengers, with a passenger compartment designed to crumple to absorb impacts, and automatic fuel cut-off in the event of an impact.
Cab protection
EXPERT is equipped as standard with driver protection by a ladder frame and a load restraint device in the lower section. On option, panel or window partitions are available for improved passenger protection and better acoustic and thermal comfort. They all include a long load tunnel.
ENVIRONMENT
The Expert has an HDi particle filter diesel engine, as dynamic as it is economical to use, and environmentally friendly.
