A long and elegant hatch, the 607 retains its fluid lines with stylistic changes both inside and out which accentuate its top of the range position and its personality.
DESIGN
The fluid line is augmented by body-coloured bumper and side protection strips, with a chrome trim. The front panel has a redesigned bumper and chrome-finished fog lights.
The Titan or Ivory trim levels allow the passenger compartment to be customised around the equipment, promoting comfort, dynamism or luxury. Three types of leather are offered: Black Astrakhan, Terre de Cassel and Red Cerbere.

The new lights highlight the rear line of the 607.
Nabucco wheel
New sleek and dynamic 17 inch aluminium Nabucco wheels are available on the 607.
New seat trim
Two new dual colour leather trims, with a top stitch feature, are offered on the 607: Black Astrakhan/Red Cerbere for the "sports" interior and Terre de Cassel/Beige for a more hushed ambience.
COMFORT
Ever mindful of the passengers' well-being, the passenger compartment is designed to ensure the drive is both precise and comfortable: electric front seats and head restraints, height-adjustable front armrest, heated backrests and seat bases available as an option… The 607 welcomes its passengers into a generously proportioned space, equipped with a whole range of practical storage compartments.
Interior space
The interior space of the 607 has generous proportions, equipped with a number of practical storage compartments: refrigerated glove box, CD storage, cup holder and money tray. The luggage compartment can be opened and closed automatically.
Adjustable seats
The front seats are electrically adjustable, allowing the optimum position for each driver to be found. The driver's seat settings can be stored, as can the position of the door mirrors.
Silent passenger compartment
The soundproof windscreen significantly reduces the volume of sound heard in the passenger compartment. Along with the laminated side windows, this ensures that outside noise is efficiently filtered out.
RT4 and JBL
RT4 telematics equipment is offered on the 607. It groups together the audio, GSM phone, GPS navigation and emergency call functions. The JBL Hi-Fi system is installed as standard on the 607 to provide the best playback of your favourite tracks.
PERFORMANCE
The V6 2.7L HDi engine with particulate filter fitted to the 607 has all the latest innovations in diesel engines: economic, powerful and quiet, this engine also has an excellent power to weight ratio. The 607 therefore perfectly combines aesthetic pleasure with a new style of power, performance and driving sensation. The 6 speed automatic gearbox ensures a calm drive, as the driver can take over the gear changes at any point using the "Tiptronic system Porsche" sequential mode.
Diesel engines
Fitted with the latest generation of common rail, the 607's HDi engines with particulate filter (2.0l HDi particle filter, 2.2l HDi particle filter and 2.7l V6 HDi particle filter) offer a wider range of torque and make the driving experience more pleasant.
2.2l HDi particle filter
The 2.2l HDi bi-turbo engine with particle filter (170 bhp) ensures rapid acceleration under all circumstances, whilst controlling consumption and respecting the environment.
3.0l V6 petrol engine
Fitted with VVT (variable valve timing), the V6, 3.0l 211 bhp petrol engine optimises torque and power at any speed.
SAFETY
Renowned already for its extremely safe road-holding ability with no loss of driving pleasure, the 607 enhances its driveability still further.
Variable shock absorbers
607 vehicles fitted with a V6 engines also have the AMVAR variable damping system: a sensor located in each shock absorber sends signals to the system which independently controls the dampers on each wheel. The system can "feel" the road and can thereby limit the movement of the bodywork.
Airbags
8 airbags are offered as standard on the 607: 2 frontal airbags, 2 front side and 2 rear airbags, and 2 curtain airbags.
ABS, ESP
The 607 benefits from a complete braking system, including: an anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), emergency brake assist (EBA), ESP, anti-slip regulation (ASR) and Continuous Damping Control (CDC).
Warning lights
Under rapid deceleration, the hazard warning lights come on automatically to warn the vehicles behind that there is a risk of collision.
ENVIRONMENT
From 2000, Peugeot has fitted particle filters to all vehicles in its range. They are fitted to all 607s with HDi. In association with HDi technology, the particle filter reduces particle and exhaust emissions to their measurable limits, regardless of how the vehicle is being used.
HDi
Benefiting from the most modern technology in terms of diesel engines, including common rail injection, the diesel engines fitted to the 607 ensure a more complete and uniform combustion, significantly reducing particle emissions.
Particulate filter
All diesel engines are fitted with particle filters.
