DESIGN
The 5008 boasts a fresh look based on a totally new vision of the compact MPV, where the dynamic aspect of the exterior styling blends seamlessly with the spacious interior. Its sleek and streamlined design promises a smooth drive and faultless road-holding capability.
Stylish rear
With their unique, distinctive shape and light-guide technology, the rear lights on the 5008 are an impressive visual design signature creating a sense of purity, strength and status. The tailgate design offers extremely easy access to the boot space – essential for a family car.
Panoramic roof
With its panoramic glass roof* and vast windscreen, the 5008 features 3.39m² of glass, giving everyone in the car an unparalleled sensation of light and space.

Style
The 5008 sets itself apart with its balanced lines and aerodynamic design. The front, with its distinctive headlights and contoured bonnet, lengthened by the sweeping windscreen, appears to cut through the air. To the rear, the unique and characteristic design of the lights gives the vehicle a visual signature and conveys an air of purity and strength. There is a choice of 5 upholstered interiors, all of which blend elegantly with the 9 paintwork options.
COMFORT
Adapting the 5008 to your family’s needs is child’s play. It has 5 seats as standard but you have the option of increasing this to 7, and with the 5008 it is easy to change the seat configuration and storage space whenever you need to.
Modularity
For greater freedom, the 5008’s seats fold down individually to make room for your passengers and all their luggage. The middle and back row seats* can fold flat into the floor well, making for an even more spacious boot. The front passenger seat can be folded down into a shelf configuration** in order to load objects up to 2.76m long. The result is maximum modularity, without you having to remove a single seat.

Driving position
The driving position has been designed solely with the driver’s comfort in mind. The elevated seating position and wide windscreen ensure excellent visibility and a feeling of safety behind the wheel. The steering wheel is at a similar angle to a saloon’s, so the driving position offers a sense of both control and comfort. The well-designed ergonomic layout of the controls ensures that they are within easy reach of the driver and that the instruments are easy to read. In addition, the slightly inclined design of the dashboard, produced in high-quality materials, harmonises perfectly with the dynamic lines of the exterior.
WIP
The Peugeot 5008 is host to all the latest features of Peugeot's on-board telematics range, known as WIP (World in Peugeot). The 2 navigation systems available: WIP Nav and WIP Com 3D , offer all the functions needed for communications and entertainment with a 7" 16/9 colour display, a map library of 30 countries, a Bluetooth® hands-free kit, a mono CD/ MP3 / Radio system with an Aux input and, on the more sophisticated version, a DVD player, a jukebox function and a GSM module with a SIM card slot for access to telephone functionalities.
Numerous storage areas
The inside of the 5008 features a multitude of clever storage areas for all the family. At the front, the air-cooled 10.5l centre console has a cup holder and room for 2 upright half-litre bottles. There are particularly spacious door compartments in addition to the glove box and the storage area under the steering wheel. Passengers in the middle row have floor-level storage areas as well as easily accessible door compartments. Lastly, in the back row*, there are storage areas incorporated in the side trim of the boot and beneath the arm-rests, depending on the options.

Rear multimedia
To make long journeys more pleasurable for rear passengers, the Peugeot 5008 offers a multimedia system perfectly integrated into the passenger compartment. The system comprises two 7" colour displays located in the rear of the front seat headrests, a connection console designed to accept all types of portable audio/video equipment (portable video player, games consoles, DVD players…) and two Bluetooth® wireless headsets. This wireless technology offers particularly exceptional performance in terms of sound quality and transmits audio signals irrespective of the position of the headset. It is also possible to connect two separate audio/video sources simultaneously and project different images on each display.

Telematics
The 5008 offers you a choice of cutting-edge audio or telematic equipment: WIP Sound Radio CD MP3 player, WIP Nav Hands-free Navigation Kit**, WIP Com 3D Telephone Navigation with 7" colour screen*, JBL Hi Fi system*. These next-generation systems enable you to listen to music, make telephone calls without being distracted from the road, get directions and information during your journey and even be rescued if there is a problem.

Head-up display
The head-up display* projects vital driving information onto a retractable screen located directly in the driver’s field of vision. The information displayed includes speed, cruise control or speed limiter status, and Distance Alert®* times (helping you stay a safe distance from vehicles in front). All the information you need is in front of your eyes, giving you extra confidence as you drive.

Available parking space*
To make parking easier, the ‘available parking space’ feature measures the size of a parking space, tells you whether or not you will be able to fit into it and says how difficult the manoeuvre will be. This feature is linked to front and rear park assist technology*, which can tell you how far you are from something you are parking in front of or behind. It emits a sound through the nearest speaker to the obstacle it has detected, and the sound gets faster or slower depending on how close you are. You’ll also see the information on the central screen.

Video pack*
Wherever you’re headed, you want to enjoy travelling. Your children certainly won’t want the journey to end when they have a video pack keeping them entertained during long trips by allowing them to use their games consoles and DVD players. The sound is broadcast through two sets of wireless Bluetooth® headphones which operate on rechargeable batteries, while video is displayed on two 7" screens, which are fitted into the backs of the front-passenger head restraints and have protective covers to match the interior trim.

Even greater connectivity
The centre console of the 5008 includes a peripheral socket (jack or USB depending on the car’s audio equipment) which you can plug a mobile disk drive or USB key into. This has been cleverly positioned so that equipment you have attached can’t be seen from outside.
PERFORMANCE
Six high-performance engine options will be on offer when the 5008 is launched. Combining performance with fuel economy, these engines boast extremely respectable CO2 figures, yet still provide immense driving pleasure.Petrol engine

When the whole family is on board, safety is the number one priority. The 5008 has both active and passive safety equipment, based on state-of-the-art technology, to look after you and your passengers, allowing you to travel with greater peace of mind.
Electronic handbrake and hill assist
The electronic handbrake, available as standard on the 5008, automatically engages once the engine stops and disengages as you accelerate. In addition, the hill assist feature holds the vehicle in place temporarily (2 seconds) when it is on a slope to allow you time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator.
Distance Alert
For additional safety and even greater control, there is an innovative alert system to help you keep a safe distance from other cars. On the head-up display*, it tells you how many seconds you are from the car in front. A visual alert can be activated when you reach a certain distance from the vehicle in front – you can use rocker switches to set the distance you want the alert to be activated at.

Emergency call
If there is an accident, the WIP Com 3D Telephone Navigation system* calls the emergency services. The Peugeot Emergency service** will pinpoint you, offer you support in French in the major European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Luxembourg), and send the emergency services out if you need them.

It requires you to insert a compatible and functioning SIM card into the navigation system and to be in an area where there is French telephone operator coverage.
Intelligent traction control
This intelligent anti-skid system adds an extra dimension to traditional anti-skid protection. It senses situations when there may be a danger of skidding, such as when you are having difficulty starting or you are driving on icy or snowy roads. The Intelligent Traction Control system then takes over from the ASR function, reducing the amount of front-wheel skid to ensure proper road-holding and to keep you heading the right way.
Airbags
The airbags in the 5008 can protect all the passengers, no matter where they are sitting, even in the very back seats, a feature only usually found in larger MPVs. The 5008 has a total of 6 airbags as standard: 2 in the front (the passenger airbag can be deactivated if you need to install a child seat), 2 front side airbags and 2 curtain airbags for the front and middle seats. Airbags are available as an optional extra in the 7-seat version.
Shatterproof and acoustic side windows
5008 may be fitted with shatterproof and acoustic side windows * offering:
- protection against theft:
A single dipped window breaks in 1 second, whilst a laminated window resists for several seconds.
- improved acoustic comfort:
Acoustic windows filter out certain frequencies from outside the vehicle and significantly reduce the sound levels within the vehicle.
- UV protection: Up to 99% of UV rays are blocked out by laminated glass

Tests conducted by PSA and Saint-Gobain during July 2011 on serial windows under actual conditions without any modifications. The periods of time indicated are those observed during testing.
ENVIRONMENT
For a family MPV, the Peugeot 5008 achieves excellent fuel-efficiency and low CO2 emissions.(cf. Performance section)
Euro 5
The 1.6l VTi 120bhp with 5-speed manual gearbox, 1.6l THP 156bhp with 6-speed manual gearbox, 2.0l HDi 150bhp FAP with 6-speed manual gearbox and 2.0l HDi 163bhp FAP 6-speed automatic gearbox* engines have had their EMS software tuned so that they already comply with Euro 5 emissions standards.

135g Engine
The 5008 1.6l HDi FAP 80kW (110bhp) with a 6-speed manual gearbox, on a mixture of urban and non-urban driving, only consumes 5.2l/100km, which equates to just 135g of CO2/km.
Aerodynamics and fuel efficiency
The underchassis and aerodynamic lines of the 5008 have been developed to optimise fuel consumption. This has enabled it to record a drag co-efficient of 0.29, one of the best in its class.
Gear Shift Indicator
On vehicles equipped with a manual gearbox, the gear change indicator tells the driver the best time to move up a gear to optimise fuel consumption.
