DESIGN
The architecture of 3008 successfully combines a one-box body shape with a forward extending windscreen with elements borrowed from the SUV, such as its lower tailgate (or hobby), the plunging line of its side windows and high driving position. 3008's balanced proportions and lines, combining dynamic movement and robust design, are suggestive of its innovative nature.
Exterior style
The style of 3008 is evocative on many levels: serene strength, latent power and controlled dynamism. Its prestigious and reassuring style is appealing because of the wealth of connotations and the breath of fresh air it brings to the entire Peugeot range.
Front end
At the front, we see a reinterpretation of the Peugeot genetic code to adapt to the generous spaciousness of the car.
Rear light
Visually, the wide sculpted flanks in the rear firmly plant the car on the road.
Cielo roof
The panoramic roof, made of over-tinted, laminated glass and designed to limit light transmission and heat transfer in the cabin, is available as an option or standard depending on the range level. It brings the total glazed area to 5.34 m², enhancing the driving experience of each of the "spectators" in the 3008.
Interior style
Sit behind the wheel of the Peugeot 3008 crossover and it’s as though you are in a cockpit. The stylish handle linking the central console to the dashboard bestows a strong and dynamic character to the cabin. The raised driving position with its optimum ergonomic design guarantees driver comfort while creating a feeling of safety. The meticulous care lavished on the dashboard finish and the light from the panoramic glass roof* are engineered with the comfort of both driver and passengers in mind.
Toggle switches
The instrument panel incorporates the air conditioning control console, as well as the audio or telematic systems console, i.e. the toggle switches

Numerous storage spaces
Peugeot 3008 is generous with its storage spaces in the interior with almost 50l of usable volume.
Storage in the front includes a space in the central console and under the front armrest with the capacity to hold a 1.5l bottle. In the rear, two flaps open on the floor under the feet of the rear passengers. The two side rear passengers have a central armrest, which gives access to the boot and can be used as a ski case.
3 position boot floor
The innovative and very practical boot floor can be configured in three different ways, without any tools and using one hand:
1. Maximum space for the largest load capacity.
2. Floor fully flat, aligned with the open lower tailgate and with the bench seat folded.
3. Aligned with the closed lower tailgate, to provide load space while keeping the content of the lower section protected and hidden.
Boot light
If required, the boot light on the left can be used as a torch.
PERFORMANCE
Thanks to the brand's acknowledged expertise behind it and the latest technologies, Peugeot 3008 offers roadholding qualities worthy of the best saloons, which is no mean feat for a spacious "high" car.
Engine range
A modern, high-performance range combining fuel economy and care for the environment.
The range features six power trains from 110 to 150 bhp based around two petrol engines and two Diesel HDi FAP engines. Between now and autumn 2009, the Peugeot 3008 will offer a wide choice of efficient engines to meet the needs of its customers across a range of requirements.
The four-cylinder engines incorporate the most advanced technologies in their class. These powerhouses feature a cylinder head containing dual camshafts and 16 valves.

SAFETY
The Peugeot crossover 3008 is designed to offer optimum safety on all levels: active safety is guaranteed by the high targets set for the car's handling characteristics, while passive safety is based on the optimised body structure (in particular the triple impact-absorption structure in the front or the Boge Wagon shock absorber) and the efficient occupant restraint technology (6 airbags) ensures tertiary safety. Improving tertiary safety is the aim of the Peugeot Urgence* service, which can locate the vehicle and send out the emergency assistance call in the event of an accident. Launched in 2003, the service is provided free with the new WIP Com 3D* system available on 3008.

Head-Up Display
Head-Up Display* projects essential driver information onto a folding screen positioned within the driver's field of vision: speed, cruise control or speed limiter settings, Distance Alert®* information (system to help drivers to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front). Drivers have all the information they need without taking their eyes off the road for even safer driving.
* Available as option depending on version
Distance Alert
An innovative alert system to help drivers to comply with the safe stopping distances between vehicles, Distance Alert displays the time distance between vehicles (the distance between the vehicle and the one in front) on the Head-Up Display. The minimum time between vehicles before an alert is given is programmed into the system using the toggle switches. When this point is reached, Distance Alert gives a visual warning.
* Available as option depending on version
Electric parking brake
Peugeot 3008 is fitted with an electric parking brake as standard. The brake automatically engages when the engine is switched off and releases again when the driver accelerates. It is combined with the Hill Assist* function, which temporarily prevents the car from rolling on a hill giving the drive time to accelerate.
Bi-Xenon directional headlights
Xenon headlights give a while/blue light that is triple the intensity of a standard bulb to make night driving safer.
*Available as option depending on version.
Shatterproof and acoustic side windows
3008 may be fitted with shatterproof and acoustic side windows * offering:
- protection against theft:
A single dipped window breaks in 1 second, whilst a laminated window resists for several seconds.
- improved acoustic comfort:
Acoustic windows filter out certain frequencies from outside the vehicle and significantly reduce the sound levels within the vehicle.
- UV protection: Up to 99% of UV rays are blocked out by laminated glass
*as optional with Premium Pack and Féline depending on country
Tests conducted by PSA and Saint-Gobain during July 2011 on serial windows under actual conditions without any modifications. The periods of time indicated are those observed during testing.
ENVIRONMENT
Aiming to deliver the best environmental efficiency was a major concern from the outset for the 3008, especially as this is a crossover vehicle.
The architecture, design and dimensions put the drag coefficient (Cx) of 3008 at 0.296. The efficiency of this air penetration index and the resulting SCx (0.760), despite a frontal area (S) of 2.56 m2 because of the height and width of the car, reflect the wind tunnel work done on the body, with the resulting lower fuel consumption and therefore lower CO2 emissions.

Euro 5
For the 1.6L VTi 16V. 120 bhp 5-speed Manual, 2.0l HDi 16V. 163 bhp FAP (particle filter) 6-speed Automatic (available during the year), 2.0l HDi 16V. 150 bhp FAP (particle filter) 6-speed Manual engines, the software is specifically engineered to ensure compliance with the Euro 5 emission standard.
130g engine
Peugeot 3008 boasts particularly low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Fuel consumption for 3008's 1.6 l HDI FAP (particle filter) 80 kW (110 bhp) BMP6 in combined cycle is a mere 4.9 l/100 km with only 130 g/km of CO2.
Fuel economy
The very low rolling-resistance tyres that can be fitted on 3008 in both 16" and 17" size reduce its fuel consumption. By reducing the rolling resistance by some 20%, these tyres require less power and therefore enhance fuel economy. Our challenge was to achieve this level of efficiency by improving the grip while offering the best mileage life on the market.
