From the 8th to 13thof April 2014, PEUGEOT DESIGN LAB, the PEUGEOT Global Brand Design studio has chosen the Tortona district, the worldwide Mecca for design that is the Milan Design Week, to set up an original exhibition space and unveil as a world first its new creation, a sculpted seat, the ONYX sofa.
It is at 32 Via Tortona that PEUGEOT DESIGN LAB has chosen to take up residence during the 2014 Milan Design Week, in a 750 m2 exhibition space, arranged in 3 rooms. The exhibition is on a historic site, in the old industrial area of the Zona Tortona. Inside, the installation preserves the industrial ambience of the building while still offering a contrasting display of objects, sound and light.
Seven sculptures, from 10 to 70 cm, accompany the ONYX sofa. Lamps, shelves, armchairs, tables, etc..., designs that explore other alliances of materials, marrying obsidian with concrete, red ferrous jasper & steel, quartz crystal & aluminium, sculpted wood & 3D printing, black palm & basalt, marsh oak & Corian.
The Peugeot Design Lab piano is presented to the Italian public for the first time during Milan Design Week. A unique experience, with the presence of three pianists and a dynamic light show changing with the sound, it is dedicated to this object that challenged the codes of the music world .
The Anthology Space is a reminder of how much PEUGEOT has made its mark in many domains over two centuries of industrial design & creation.
