208 awarded for its tactile interface
The 208's large touch screen received the Comfort Innovation of the Year award from an international jury of motoring journalists in Stuttgart during the Automotive Interiors Expo show.

Intuitive, smooth, ergonomic, combined functions, modern... the 208 was awarded the Comfort Innovation of the Year prize for the new functions brought to the vehicle environment by the 7-inch touch screen. The unique interface, which comes as standard on the second trim level, Active, brings together hitherto separate functions: radio, music, navigation, on-board computer, configuration of vehicle functions such as interior lighting, reverse gear rear wiper activation, etc.
The interface offers users a smooth continuum between the vehicle and their leisure and professional activities. Using the jack or USB sockets or Bluetooth, users can configure the 208 with their mobile devices (phone, tablet, multimedia player) in order to navigate around them via the screen or using the steering wheel controls, play music or display images contained on them, and make or receive calls.
In addition, the mobile phone can share its contacts' details with the navigation system, allowing it to navigate to saved addresses.
This award is also in recognition of the new generation of Peugeot Connect Apps, which have been developed to make life easier for drivers. They can now access useful, up-to-date information: fuel prices, parking availability, traffic information, weather, etc.
The prize was awarded to the 208 by a jury made up of influential international motoring journalists as part of the Automotive Interiors Expo show. Held in Stuttgart alongside the Automotive Testing Expo, Engine Expo and Vehicle Dynamics Expo events, this show attracts automotive professionals from all over the world.
