Peugeot at the 2008 Paris Motor Show : a view of the automotive industry shared by more than 1.4 million visitors
At the 2008 Paris Motor Show, Peugeot unveiled its strategy and its expertise in hybrid technology, illustrated by concept cars, including the Prologue crossover.
The Make announced, moreover, that this crossover, to be put on sale in the spring of 2009, will in 2011 receive a new-generation HDi DPFS* hybrid technology.
Peugeot also presented at the Motor Show its range of Blue Lion vehicles, thanks to which, among other things, the Make is European leader in vehicles with less than 120 g/km of CO2 emissions, with a 16.1% share in this market, i.e. one in every six such vehicles sold on the continent.
The Paris Motor Show was an opportunity for Peugeot to receive numerous visitors. Around 15,000 left their contact details to be contacted by the dealership closest to their home.
30% of these contacts concerned a request for a test-drive, for 13% of them a commercial proposal was established (to be finalised in the network), while 20% expressed a real interest in obtaining further information about the 308 CC.

Visitors were also able to discover the new Peugeot styling guidelines through the concept cars presented. Combining environmental efficiency with motoring passion, the hybrid RC 4-door concept car was a focus of keen attention.
Peugeot also emphasised its commitment to sustainable personal mobility through the three-wheel hybrid scooter whose sales release is eagerly awaited by the visitors.
In a forum designed for open discussion with the public, Peugeot allowed personalities from different horizons to express their views concerning their vision of the motor car and its relation to society, covering various themes such as the environment, sport and road safety.
The head of state and various representatives of official bodies were received on the stand by Jean-Philippe Collin, Managing Director of Peugeot, who presented to them the concept cars illustrating the Make's commitment to the environment.
Complementing this stand, the fine performance of the Peugeot website (http://www.mondial2008.peugeot.fr) devoted to the Paris Motor Show is worth noting, with more than 200,000 visits, including 70,000 on the pages devoted to the Navteq competition.
Finally, visitors acclaimed the objects offered on the stand, including 100,000 USB keys containing the Make's catalogue and 100,000 miniature 308 CC's that were distributed.
