Static presentation of the new Dongfeng Peugeot 307 Sedan

On 22 September, Jean-Yves Dossal, Managing Director of Dongfeng Peugeot, presents the new 307 Sedan to the press, in the presence of Bernd Schantz, Director of International Operations for Peugeot Brand and Mr Liu Weidong, Managing Director of Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën.

The Sedan is being unveiled to more than 200 journalists and around 450 representatives of the Brand's network in China, thirty kilometres north of Beijing on the Zhang-Laffite domain, a replica of the masterpiece of 17th century French architecture, Maisons-Laffite Castle in the Yvelines area.

The new Dongfeng Peugeot 307 Sedan, produced in Wuhan, will be available in 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre engine versions from October 2007. It will replace its predecessor which, with around 140,000 vehicles sold since September 2004, has established itself as a benchmark in its segment.

The Chinese market, which is characterised by its strong expansion and which is already one of the largest markets in the world, is a major priority in Peugeot Brand's international expansion strategy.

Since its founding in September 2004, Dongfeng Peugeot has sold around 200,000 vehicles in China.
