Peugeot Connect SOS

PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS is a geolocation emergency call service provided by Peugeot. The service is available round the clock, 7 days a week(1) and does not require a special subscription(2).
By dispatching appropriate emergency assistance more quickly when the situation requires it, Peugeot CONNECT SOS allows you to gain precious minutes.
Automatic Emergency Call
If your vehicle's airbags or pyrotechnic seat belts are triggered, it automatically transmits an emergency call (with no need for action on your part). PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS then locates your car, contacts you by phone in your own language(3) and arranges for the appropriate emergency assistance to be dispatched as required.
Automatic Emergency Call
Likewise, if you witness or are involved in an emergency situation (illness, aggression) while at the wheel, you can quickly contact PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS. To do this, simply press and hold the SOS button (3 seconds) on the dashboard.
Recognised expertise
Since 2003, the PEUGEOT emergency call service has been unrivalled in Europe, with:
- over 400,000 equipped vehicles now in circulation,
- 3,500 emergency operations,
- including 2,000 automatic geolocated emergency calls processed
Furthermore, PEUGEOT is the first vehicle manufacturer to offer a certified emergency call system that complies with the stringent requirements of the French public authorities(4).
Unique technology
PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS benefits from newly developed equipment. It consists of a localised communication unit capable of independently handling the telephone calls essential to the service and precisely locating the vehicle, even if the power supply is cut. This PEUGEOT CONNECT unit will initially be available as an option on the 207 and 308, from the basic trim levels upward. Other models in the range will then be equipped with the technology. Peugeot is pursuing its aim of making "connected safety" accessible to the general public.
The PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS service is also available with GPS Peugeot WIP Com and WIP Com 3D systems(2).
Europe-wide coverage
In April 2010, PEUGEOT CONNECT SOS will be operational in 10 European countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria.
