HISTORY
A century of models
1991 : 106

An entry level vehicle, positioned beneath the 205, the 106 won praise for its very appealing styling. Built on the same platform as the Citroën AX, it was offered in both three and five door versions. During its long career spanning twelve years, the car was fitted with a large number of petrol and diesel engines, from 1 litre to 1.6 litres. Even though the 106, looking at its 3.56 metre frame, seems like an urban vehicle, this does not preclude it from having very powerful engines, reaching 120 hp on the 1.6 litre 16 valve launched in 1996 when the vehicle was restyled. The 106 was in production until 2003.
