Peugeot EGO has been conceived as a lean vehicle in every aspect. It is easy to own, easy to maintain, and easy to operate. And, most importantly, it is easy on the environment. The majority of the vehicles at the rush-hour in a big city, carry a single passenger. EGO is designed for a single passenger. Its overall weight, which is close to the quarter of the weight of an economy class four-door sedan, makes the electrical-only propulsion feasible. Why using four wheels when only two is enough? EGO has only two wheels. Nevertheless, thanks to the closed body design, it is the safest of all two-wheel transport systems. Unlike the other two wheeled applications it is immune to the changes in weather. So unlike the other two wheeled applications, you can drive it throughout the year, in hot, cold or wet days, indifferently. The unique compact design, having a fixed foot-print with and without the access doors opened, requires only one-third of the parking space that an economy class four-door sedan does. The flexible windshield, which also embodies a unique “head-up-display”, serves as the entrance by rolling into the drum at the back of the vehicle. Similarly, the trunk door rolls under the floor when opened. The transparent “head-up-display” integrated in to the windshield, displays the position of the traffic at close proximity, as well as the other conventional navigation information. Steering is performed by independently changing the rotational speed of the wheels. So, u-turns at the same spot is possible. The agility of EGO has virtually no match. Say good-bye to the clumsy and unsafe steering wheel, and also to the pedals. The driver employs a joy-stick to perform the manoeuvres, and to control the speed simultaneously.
