The 3rd Peugeot Design Competition - Vote with your mouse!

The 3rd edition of the Peugeot Design Competition has come to the end of the creation phase. Thirty projects from the many entries put forward by designers from all over the world are now to be put to the internet vote.

Launched at the last Motor Show, this 3rd competition, with the theme "Design the Peugeot you dream of for the near future", met with some real success with almost 3,800 projects submitted. The 30 projects selected by the jury, made up of Peugeot representatives, will be put to the vote from 20 December to 24 January 2005 on the website www.peugeot-concours-design.com.

The Internet site, dedicated to the competition and relayed by 25 Peugeot sites internationally, has received a vast amount of interest from internet users. And, like the two previous competitions, during this first phase the Design Competition, will have constituted a powerful traffic counter with nearly 400,000 visitors alone. With the competition entering its selection phase a voting module has been set up with the thirty selected projects presented in random order of appearance.

Four stages will take place through to September 2005:

  • - The 10 finalists selected from the vote will be placed on line on the Internet site on 24 January;
  • - The winning design will be announced mid-February and its designer will be presented with the "La Griffe" trophy and a cheque for €6,000 by Mr. Frédéric Saint-Geours, the Director General of Peugeot, at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show;
  • - The winning project will be produced in full scale between March and September;
  • - The concept-car will be unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show.
