Marko Lukovic’s concept

Marko Lukovic, winner of the first edition of the Peugeot Design Contest
How did the idea of Moonster come about?
The contest's specs gave me the basics. For the car's shapes, I was inspired by vehicles from the beginning of the century. Nature, dolphins in particular, was also a big influence. On the technical side, I think the photosensitive cells that create a shiny surface are something we'll see more of because a vehicle must interact with its environment.
What are the most original aspects of your concept?
Moonster is a new type of fun, urban vehicle. Its shape is fairly revolutionary and I think the future of the automobile industry will head in this direction. The steering wheel is an airplane joystick; the very high wheels (90cm), positioned outside the chassis, look like animal legs.
What did you think of the prototype?
It's unbelievable! It came out straight out of my imagination but Moonster is a concept of the future and I can already see it in the real world... And despite the complexity of the shapes, nothing has been changed from my original idea; it's exactly as I'd imagined it.
