Peugeot RCZ Exclusive emotion

More than just the embodiment of a concept car, the RCZ Sports Coupé marks a new stage in the line up of Peugeot’s “leisure vehicles”, while also being the first product to benefit from the latest Peugeot Lion brand identity.

Its expressive and innovative style, exclusive interior, dynamic and environmentally-friendly engines and the driving enjoyment it produces project the Peugeot brand, buoyed by 200 years of history, into a future that promises more emotion than ever.

The Peugeot RCZ, a sporty and compact 2+2 Coupé, is designed to become an exclusive vehicle, something special, exuding a real air of excitement:

• its name, RCZ, symbolises its exclusive position in relation to the Peugeot range: it is the specialist car not to use the numbering system with a central- or double-zero;
• illustrating the Marque’s “new identity”, the RCZ displays on its body the new, redesigned Lion.

The RCZ is aimed at the modern customer, particularly demanding and well informed when it comes to cars, who looks to stand out… and is ready to succumb to automotive temptation...

12 Hours of Sebring : Peugeot on the Le Mans trail

For the third year running, Team Peugeot Total will be travelling to the United States to use the punishing 12 Hours of Sebring as part of its preparations for its main objective in 2010: a repeat of last June's win in the Le Mans 24 Hours.

The American classic provided an exciting, drama-packed show in 2009 when the Peugeots and Audis were never split by more than a handful of seconds. With three hours remaining, the N°8 908 HDi FAP was challenging hard for the lead when it was forced to pit after picking up a slow puncture. When the chequered flag came down, it missed out onfirst place by a mere 22 seconds… after 12 hours of racing!

This year, Audis has chosen not to attend the event, but the new regulations promise to make the petrol – powered cars– including the Aston Martins – a far more competitive threat.

Peugeot Sport's Technical Director Bruno Famin recalls that Team Peugeot Total's mission in Sebring will above all be of a technicalnature: "Contesting the 12 Hours of Sebring has three major advantages for us. To begin with, the temperature is likely to be between 25 and 30°C, which is very similar to what we can expect at Le Mans in June. Sebring serves as first class training, too, with regard to race strategy. [...] Sebring provides us with an opportunity to explore the limits of certain mechanical components. [...] If what we see calls for modifications, we will have sufficient time to make amends before Le Mans… where we have no intention of taking any risks at all!"

Peugeot unvails hoggar, its first brazilian pick-up

HOGGAR demonstrates Peugeot’s ambition for internationalisation and confirms the acceleration of the Marque’s strategy.Designed in Brazil for the Brazilian market, this pick-up is perfectly adapted to the local clientele’s expectations. It allows Peugeot to endorse and expand its status and links as a local manufacturer.

A world first, it revives the historical savoir-faire of the Marque by merging it with the future. HOGGAR subtly combines the robustness and reliability of a pick-up with the design and dynamism that distinguishes the Marque.

With HOGGAR, Peugeot brings a touch of seduction and emotion to the world of Pick-ups.

The comfort and quality of the finish of HOGGAR will seduce the most exacting customer because it does not compromise function for style. This is thanks to a load volume of 1151 litres and a payload of up to 742kg, which makes this vehicle a point of reference for the market.

This vehicle will be manufactured at the Porto Real factory in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Equipped with a bold and modern design, HOGGAR is a new line in exclusive cars, 207 of Brazil, after the saloon, hatchback, SW and SW Escapade versions.

2010 - A year of consolidation

Just over a month ago, Peugeot pulled the wraps off its new corporate identity which encapsulates high standards and excitement, two qualities that are especially applicable to motor sport.

Peugeot Sport, official suppliers of driving excitement. Like Peugeot, Peugeot Sport is on the offensive. As it prepares for the future by building on its recent successes, not only does Peugeot Sport serve as a shop window for the brand, both technologically and in terms of image, but it also mirrors the latter's new corporate identity, which puts movement and motoring enjoyment at the heart of its
strategy. 2009 was a highly successful year in motor sport terms: topping the bill was a one-two finish in the Le Mans 24 Hours, a clean sweep of the podium places for the 207 Super 2000 in the Rallye Monte-Carlo, as well as third consecutive Manufacturers' and Drivers’ titles in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, thanks to the efforts of several Peugeot subsidiaries, not forgetting the ongoing tradition of individual
event wins and national titles achieved by private entrants. All this is the result of the spirit of those competitors, a spirit which must continue in 2010 in the hunt for further success and excitement.
2010 endurance racing : targeting another win at Le Mans. Riding high on the back of last year's one-two finish, Peugeot Sport is aiming to do it again in 2010. In the fourth and final year of the 908 HDi
FAP’s career, Team Peugeot Total has pressed on with its development, getting down to work on the very next day after that historic win, striving to squeeze even more improvements out of the car.

Peugeot Connect: bringing connected services to the greatest number

Leader in tertiary safety with the emergency call system in Europe, Peugeot is launching Peugeot Connect, a connected services offering. In taking this step, the Marque is opening up a new era in communications between the car and the world of services and confirming its ambition to become a leader in connected services.

This new Peugeot Connect service, available as of April 2010 in 10 European countries, is based around a new more accessible telematics box and a services package combined with high value added which includes:
- Peugeot Connect SOS, for emergency calls
- Peugeot Connect Assistance, for breakdown assistance
- Peugeot Connect Fleet, for fleet management

The 207 and 308 will be the first models to offer this equipment as an option, like the RCZ and i0n, launched this year. For these two custom-built vehicles, the Peugeot Connect box will be offered as standard.
This new offer will eventually be rolled out to other products in the range, either as standard or as an option depending on the car's degree of finishing. This way Peugeot is bringing onboard connected services to the greatest number of motorists by turning its experience and leadership to full account.

The large-scale rollout of Peugeot Connect in Europe is an essential part of Peugeot's strategy to become leader in connected services.

Peugeot Eco Cup: selection of the candidates

The Peugeot Eco Cup, the first European eco-driving competition, seems to have generated huge public interest: a total of more than 22,500 European candidates have applied for the competition by answering the following question on the recruitment web site: “What, in your opinion, makes a good eco-driver”?

In each of the 18 participating countries, a local jury of journalists and Peugeot representatives has selected just four candidates – one for each of the four models involved in the competition.

In the final stage of the preparations for the start of the competition on Sunday 28 February, each candidate and a co-pilot of his/her choice will follow a one-day eco-driving course on 19 or 20 February 2010 and will be given the use of a vehicle in order to gain familiarity with driving a Peugeot.

The Peugeot Eco Cup is scheduled to start on Sunday 28 February 2010 from in front of Peugeot’s head office at 75 Avenue de la grande Armée in Paris. From 9.00 a.m. onwards, the 72 competing vehicles will cross the economy run start line and head for Annecy on a mandatory 1000 km route. The time limit has been set at 31 hours.

The “5 by Peugeot’’ concept car

A new luxury saloon driving experience

As part of its new Marque project, Peugeot is launching a double product offensive: the development of new markets and the strengthening of its presence in its historic market segments.

The “5 by Peugeot” concept demonstrates the Marque’s ambitions in the large luxury vehicle segment.
Its pure and elegant lines blend with subtle technological details to create an overall effect of timeless, exclusive and modern design.
Its exterior design conceals Peugeot’s HYbrid4 technology, integrating driving pleasure with new environmental challenges: 147 kW (200 bhp), four-wheel drive and an emissions level of 99 g/km of CO2 (or 0 in electric mode).
